MAP kinases - a kinase family. MAP kinase family members have been found to regulate diverse biological functions by phophorylation of specific target molecules (such as transcription factors, other kinases, etc.) found in cell membrane, cytoplasm and nucleus, and thereby participate in the regulation of a variety of cellular processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and imuno responses.
